Broadcast Studio Engineer

What you will do

• Manage and monitor broadcast system engineering operations at NEP Studios.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inventory checks, and engineering updates.
• Configure cameras, broadcast equipment, and audio and video satellite feed and receive links.
• Monitor and optimize audio, video, and data signals using spectrum analyzers, waveform monitors, and signal analyzers.
• Provide on-site technical support and client service while directing crew activities related to broadcast system operations.
• Prepare technical and expense reports for each show or designated assignment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of technical experience and a minimum of 5 years working with video signal-generating equipment.
• Knowledge of Evertz EQX baseband router programming.
• Knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
• Strong computer skills and experience with live, multi-camera production rooms.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and seek assistance for heavier loads.
• An associate or technical degree is preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Grass Valley Kayenne switchers, Sony camera systems, and Calrec Apollo or Artemis audio consoles.
• Familiarity with audio, video, graphics, and related systems used in mobile television facilities.
