Product & Privacy Counsel (AI)

Location: Full-time onsite at the headquarters in American Fork, Utah, United States

What you will do

• Advise Product and Engineering teams on privacy, data protection, and consumer protection throughout the product lifecycle.
• Draft, structure, and negotiate DPAs, MSAs, SOWs, and strategic vendor agreements.
• Monitor privacy laws and AI regulations and translate them into practical business and engineering requirements.
• Review customer privacy questionnaires, security reviews, RFPs, and legal due diligence requests.
• Support data mapping, policy updates, privacy governance, and enterprise compliance initiatives.
• Develop legal templates, playbooks, and AI-assisted workflows to improve contract review and legal operations.

Requirements

• Deep practical knowledge of privacy frameworks, including CCPA/CPRA and GDPR.
• Extensive experience with commercial technology agreements and pragmatic risk-based negotiation.
• J.D. from an accredited institution and 4–6 years of relevant legal experience.
• Active Utah bar license or eligibility for a Utah limited in-house counsel license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills, commercial judgment, autonomy, and ability to explain legal and technical concepts clearly.

• CIPP/US, AIGP, or similar professional certification.
