Company

Deepgram provides voice AI infrastructure and real-time APIs for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and production voice agents through hosted, dedicated, and self-hosted deployments.

What you will do

  • Own customer and prospect privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, transfer impact assessments, and vendor due diligence reviews.
  • Build and maintain data-flow maps and records of processing across hosted, dedicated, and self-hosted deployments.
  • Translate GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, EU AI Act, and emerging US AI regulations into actionable product and infrastructure requirements.
  • Define and operate privacy controls for retention, deletion, DSARs, consent, opt-outs, de-identification, and redaction.
  • Design auditing, remediation, subprocessor review, and vendor privacy workflows.
  • Create privacy playbooks, self-service guidance, and training for Engineering, Support, and Sales Engineering.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in privacy operations, legal operations, or technical privacy and compliance, including end-to-end assessments.
  • Experience owning privacy operational systems such as data maps, DSAR workflows, consent management, retention processes, or related tooling.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to read architecture diagrams, trace data through datacenter and cloud infrastructure, and evaluate logging and retention implications.
  • Applied experience with GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, plus an understanding of emerging AI regulation.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to advise enterprise privacy teams, DPOs, engineers, auditors, and customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and make defensible decisions when regulations are unsettled.

Nice to have

  • CIPM, CIPT, CIPP/E, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience reading Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript, writing SQL, or scripting privacy tooling.
  • Familiarity with colocation or on-premise infrastructure, Docker, AWS, and data residency outside a single cloud provider.
  • Experience with ML/AI data pipelines, training-data governance, hybrid SaaS and self-hosted deployments, or formal SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or PCI DSS audits.

Culture & Benefits

  • AI-first working environment with active use and experimentation with advanced AI tools.
  • Work spans hosted, dedicated single-tenant, and self-hosted deployment models.
  • Close collaboration with Legal, Engineering, Security, and Solutions/Sales Engineering.
  • Base salary includes eligibility for a 10% annual bonus and equity; compensation is calibrated by US work location and experience.
