Mechanical/Hardware Engineer (Video Conferencing)

Salary: $110,300–$159,950 annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Translate industrial design concepts into functional mechanical designs and physical prototypes.
• Develop enclosures, structural components, subsystems, assemblies, and other mechanical solutions for complex video conferencing products.
• Use 3D CAD and rapid-prototyping methods, including 3D printing, to build, test, and refine designs.
• Collaborate with industrial design, audio, thermal, electrical, manufacturing, ODMS, and other engineering teams on system-level tradeoffs.
• Advance products from early concepts through production-ready designs using iterative testing and evidence-based decisions.
• Provide mechanical and thermal expertise, mentor less experienced engineers, and manage relationships with internal and outsourced development partners.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 7–10 years of experience in engineering design, hardware development, or related work.
• Strong mechanical engineering foundation and experience across the hardware development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling, computer-aided design, system architectures, and assemblies.
• Knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, injection molding, machining, sheet metal, thermal management, and finite element methods.
• Ability to solve complex problems, evaluate multiple factors, communicate effectively, and guide cross-functional projects.
