Water Treatment Technician Lead

Location: Austin, Texas, United States. Field-based work is conducted on-site at customer locations, with overtime, weekend work, and occasional overnight stays as required.

Hourly base pay: $44.54–$68.92.

What you will do

• Supervise field technicians performing water treatment equipment start-up, commissioning, servicing, installation, and repairs.
• Conduct end-to-end water chemistry testing and keep water and equipment within industry standards.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and coordinate requirements with the Area Service Manager.
• Diagnose and repair equipment using software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site installation and repair work.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain accountability for company-issued equipment and assets.

Requirements

• At least five years of HVAC experience.
• Working knowledge of basic chemistry and the ability to identify subtle color changes in water samples.
• Plumbing skills, including PVC, copper, and black iron installation.
• Associate degree or technical certificate in HVAC, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones and iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous three years.
