Assistant Chief Building Engineer

What you will do

• Maintain efficient building maintenance systems to support client and property safety.
• Respond to client requests, prioritize and assign work orders, and follow up with Building Engineers.
• Conduct regular inspections, alarm testing, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain daily operating logs for air conditioning, fan units, graph charts, utility meters, and general complaints.
• Support annual budgeting and the RFP process for budgeted projects.
• Monitor operating procedures and chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of building, property maintenance, or engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems, and other building mechanical equipment.
• CFC Universal certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Flexibility to be on-call for after-hours and weekend emergency requests.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with work order and preventative maintenance software.
• Required licenses for building and jurisdictional requirements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
