Senior QA Automation Engineer (Fintech): Building production-grade automation, testing tools, and quality practices for a fintech platform handling millions of financial transactions with an accent on test architecture, engineering enablement, and AI-assisted testing. Focus on designing unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end strategies, improving quality metrics, and troubleshooting production incidents through logs, metrics, and observability tools.
Location: Mexico City or remote within LATAM

What you will do
- Mentor engineers on TDD, test design, and quality practices.
- Define unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing strategies for the squad.
- Build production-grade automation, testing tools, and test scripts across web, API, and mobile platforms.
- Track coverage, flakiness, test times, and defect rates to prioritize quality improvements.
- Use AI to generate tests, identify coverage gaps and edge cases, and improve testing feedback loops.
- Participate in on-call and incident response by investigating logs, metrics, services, and infrastructure.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as a software engineer or QA engineer.
- Strong programming skills in at least one modern language, such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Dart.
- Hands-on automation experience with web, API, and/or mobile testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, Maestro, or Patrol.
- Experience with test architecture, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and automated builds and deployments.
- Fluent Spanish and working knowledge of English required for cross-team collaboration.
- Experience coaching engineers, writing documentation and runbooks, and supporting production troubleshooting.
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or high-reliability systems.
- Mobile testing with Flutter, iOS, or Android.
- Performance and load testing, Pact contract testing, or advanced API testing.
- Experience with mobile device farms such as Sauce Labs or contributions to open-source testing tools.
