Supervisor, Production - Paint Shop (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; daily onsite attendance is required. The role includes in-person meetings, company events, and occasional travel.

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead Paint Shop production activities and team members to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Manage paint application processes, equipment utilization, material flow, production metrics, and KPIs.
• Build and develop a high-performing production team through coaching, training, feedback, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Partner with Human Resources, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, supervisors, and hourly employees on operations and employee relations.
• Resolve quality defects, equipment disruptions, staffing issues, and other production challenges to minimize downtime.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, corrective actions, safety requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a Paint Shop.
• 4+ years of Paint Shop experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Automotive Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of pretreatment, e-coat, sanding, manual sealer applications, paint quality inspection, and paint repair.
• Experience managing process KPIs, budgets, financial metrics, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Availability for shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard tools.
