Associate Manager, Commercial Energy

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 per year

What you will do

• Oversee residential, commercial, and pilot energy efficiency, electrification, and demand-side management programs.
• Manage program budgets, forecasts, KPIs, regulatory deliverables, incentive processing, and performance reporting.
• Lead cross-functional teams of analysts, engineers, outreach, and marketing professionals.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, internal departments, manufacturers, and community stakeholders.
• Design and execute pilots evaluating innovative technologies and delivery models.
• Analyze cost-effectiveness, energy savings, market potential, and opportunities for process automation and improved data visualization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in energy efficiency, utility program management, or consulting.
• At least 2 years of experience managing cross-functional teams and client relationships.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• Ability to work remotely from Virginia, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with pilot programs, retail or midstream product strategies, HVAC, or lighting technologies.
• Familiarity with Technical Reference Manuals, Measurement & Verification protocols, and utility regulatory frameworks.
• Certifications such as PMP, CEM, BPI, RESNET, or Six Sigma.
• Experience working with underserved communities and diverse stakeholders.
