Consultant - Cybersecurity (AI Risk)

Location: Remote - USA. Candidates must be able to verify their legal right to work in the U.S. or Canada without company sponsorship.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead cybersecurity and AI risk workstreams, including maturity assessments, strategic roadmaps, operating models, and transformation programs.
• Deliver cyber and AI risk governance, third-party risk management, resilience, incident preparedness, and executive tabletop exercises.
• Conduct benchmarking, cyber risk quantification, and business-impact analysis.
• Translate technical and risk findings into executive-level insights, business implications, and board-ready recommendations.
• Manage engagement scope, schedules, resources, quality, client satisfaction, and senior client relationships.
• Support proposals, business development, methodology development, thought leadership, and mentoring of junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, business administration, risk management, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, or enterprise risk consulting.
• Experience leading consulting engagements or complex cybersecurity and risk programs.
• Understanding of emerging AI governance, risk, and control requirements.
• Experience managing client relationships and communicating with senior executive stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and recommendation-development skills.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or another relevant security or risk certification.
• Experience with NIST AI RMF, CRI FS AI RMF, or ISO/IEC 42001.
• Experience at a Big 4 firm, specialist cybersecurity consultancy, or comparable advisory firm.
• Experience scoping and proposing cybersecurity and AI risk engagements or delivering enterprise transformations and governance programs.
• Experience presenting cybersecurity or technology-risk issues to executive leadership.
