Director of IT

What you will do

• Own the IT strategy, roadmap, and budget in partnership with the COO and business leaders.
• Lead security operations, including risk management, access controls, incident response, employee awareness, and vendor oversight.
• Manage SOC compliance, audits, controls, evidence, and remediation throughout the year.
• Oversee responsive IT support for a global workforce across locations and time zones.
• Improve onboarding, offboarding, device management, identity and access, documentation, scalability, and resilience.
• Build the IT function, select internal or external capacity, and support secure adoption of AI tools and automation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership of an IT function, team, or significant area of responsibility.
• Experience supporting a global workforce and managing IT needs across countries and time zones.
• Strong security experience covering risk assessment, effective controls, and security incident response.
• Experience with cloud applications, identity and access management, endpoint management, IT support, and technology vendors.
• Demonstrated success improving IT systems and processes as an organization grows.
• Ability to set strategy, remain hands-on, and communicate with technical and nontechnical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience managing SOC compliance, audit preparation, or a comparable security assurance program.
• Experience building or expanding an IT team and determining when to use external partners.
• Experience supporting a consulting or professional services organization.
• Experience evaluating AI tools and creating guidance for their secure use.
