Trust & Safety Professional

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 for US locations outside San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle; $135,000–$165,000 for those zones, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own Trust & Safety and marketplace integrity policies, including creation, versioning, review, and retirement.
• Define enforcement standards, decision frameworks, appeals processes, and policy governance documentation.
• Analyze incidents, reports, enforcement actions, and appeals to identify trends, emerging harms, and root causes.
• Monitor and refine member and vendor risk signals and deliver data-backed recommendations to Product, Policy, Operations, and leadership.
• Investigate fraud, referral and promotional abuse, suspicious booking behavior, and marketplace misuse.
• Co-own QA and calibration programs and help translate policy changes into training, workflows, and tooling.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, risk, integrity, fraud, or platform governance.
• Experience using risk or trend analysis to influence product, policy, or operational decisions.
• Comfort working directly with data and building reports; SQL or similar is strongly preferred.
• Experience owning or evolving Trust & Safety policies, enforcement standards, appeals, or QA and audit programs.
• Experience with fraud, abuse, or platform misuse, along with strong written and verbal communication.
• High judgment and comfort making principled tradeoffs in ambiguous situations.

Nice to have

• Experience in a marketplace, booking, or two-sided platform.
• Hands-on experience with link analysis, network analysis, or fraud detection tools.
• Experience building or co-owning QA or calibration programs for enforcement teams.
• Exposure to Trust & Safety regulatory environments.
