Manager, Business Analytics (AI)

Location: Remote; San Diego, California, United States; South San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $130,000–$145,000 USD per year, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Lead analytics support for Commercial, Finance, Operations, and related business functions.
• Partner with leadership to prioritize analytical investments, define success metrics, and measure business outcomes.
• Design and maintain scalable analytical solutions using SQL, Python, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, and cloud data platforms.
• Perform statistical analysis, forecasting, segmentation, hypothesis testing, predictive modeling, and exploratory data analysis.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, and Master Data Management to improve data quality, pipelines, and enterprise data architecture.
• Build semantic data models, reusable datasets, KPI frameworks, standardized metrics, and AI-enabled decision-support solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• 6–8+ years of experience in advanced analytics, business intelligence, data science, revenue analytics, or a similar technical analytical role.
• Expert-level SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, query optimization, and dimensional data modeling.
• Strong Python experience with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, StatsModels, Scikit-Learn, and data visualization frameworks.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data governance, data quality, cloud data platforms, and BI dashboard development.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets, communicate actionable insights, manage ambiguity, and deliver high-impact solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience in diagnostics, laboratory services, healthcare technology, life sciences, or payer analytics.
• Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, generative AI, workflow automation, and emerging analytics technologies.
• Experience influencing strategic decisions with executive stakeholders through data-driven insights.
