General Manager & Director, Product (Fintech)

Location: New York City office, United States; hybrid work

Base wage: $240,000–$263,500 per year

What you will do

• Own the Payroll annual plan and its revenue, expansion, margin, LTV, and ARPC outcomes.
• Set commercial strategy across customer acquisition, partnerships, monetization, pricing, packaging, and paid services.
• Drive the path to gross-margin break-even while maintaining service quality.
• Coordinate Payroll execution across Marketing, Technology, Operations, Product, Finance, Revenue, and Risk & Insurance.
• Lead the Payroll-to-PEO expansion pathway and reduce customer migration friction.
• Represent Payroll in leadership forums using data, financial impact, and customer outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience with ownership of a business line, P&L, or comparable commercial outcome.
• Experience as a co-founder, General Manager, DRI, or business owner accountable for revenue, margin, or growth.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including P&L, unit economics, LTV/CAC, ARPC, pricing, and packaging.
• Experience setting commercial strategy and leading cross-functional execution through influence rather than direct authority.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with Excel and SQL.
• Executive communication, sound judgment, professional ethics, and the ability to structure ambiguous problems.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, fintech, B2B services, or regulated and operationally complex environments.
