Staff iOS Developer Experience Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Base salary: $197,300–$313,700 annually. In select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas: $237,700–$344,700 annually.

What you will do

• Build sustainable developer tooling and next-generation workflows for the hirify.global iOS codebase.
• Design and integrate AI coding agents, software factories, and agentic automated testing workflows.
• Improve CI stability, TimeToMerge, build times, and other developer productivity metrics.
• Debug complex Bazel build issues and proactively resolve CI/CD pipeline bottlenecks.
• Set technical direction, maintain high code quality, and mentor iOS engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and maintaining complex iOS tooling from CI to CD.
• Deep expertise in Swift, Bazel, Python, and Xcode tools.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI coding agents for pull request generation, code reviews, and refactoring.
• Strong knowledge of the Apple ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and scripting with Python or Bash.
• A related technical degree.
• Ability to work in San Francisco, California.
