Software Engineer (iOS)

Location: US - Remote Eligible; must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required.

Salary: $162,000–$186,000 USD annually, plus potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

What you will do

• Build iOS account and commerce features for millions of guests and hosts.
• Own features from technical design through launch and iteration.
• Design and develop iOS interfaces using declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, Android, and web engineers to maintain consistent cross-platform experiences.
• Write tested, maintainable code and participate in code and design reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve mobile bugs, performance issues, and reliability problems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional iOS engineering experience shipping features in a large-scale consumer application.
• Proficiency in Swift, modern iOS architecture, declarative UI such as SwiftUI, unidirectional state management, and dependency injection.
• Experience integrating APIs and collaborating with backend, Android, and web engineers.
• Experience delivering features from technical design through launch with increasing scope and independence.
• Understanding of mobile performance, accessibility, release processes, and CI practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, feedback, and problem-solving skills.
