Director Transportation

Location: Fort Worth, TX, United States; relocation anywhere on the hirify.global operating system in the western 28 states may be required.

Salary: $200,000–$225,000 per year, plus variable cash incentive bonuses.

What you will do

• Support merchandise terminal processes and operational execution across planning, technology, terminal processing tools, and operations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, cross-functional workshops, performance reviews, and local and network process improvements.
• Develop and maintain operational process documentation, best practices, and issue-resolution procedures.
• Train and mentor field personnel and frontline leaders on tools, enhancements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Lead cross-departmental projects and analyze operational data to identify root causes and improve transportation tools.
• Collaborate with operations, technology, measurement, service design, division operations, NOC leadership, and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, finance, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• At least 7 years of railroad or equivalent experience and at least 5 years leading frontline operating supervisors preferred.
• Strong understanding of operational metrics and railroad terminal processes.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and related analytics tools.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, project management, communication, presentation, training, and team leadership skills.
• Must not require current or future sponsorship or assistance to obtain or maintain US employment authorization. Ability to distinguish railroad visual and auditory signals is required, and travel may reach 75%.
