What you will do

• Develop and implement short- and long-term operating programs, plans, budgets, policies, procedures, and systems across the region.
• Provide operational guidance to branch managers, regional staff, general managers, logistics managers, and corporate operations.
• Review branch operations and equipment, and recommend facility maintenance, modifications, expansions, and improvements.
• Oversee regional safety programs, audits, permits, reports, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulations.
• Coordinate environmental site investigations, corrective actions, quality processes, and regulatory responses.
• Support staffing, personnel matters, union negotiations, labor relations, and training programs.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent business experience.
• 5–7 years of proven distribution experience.
• Extensive knowledge of sales, warehousing, accounting, credit, personnel management, transportation, and emergency response.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal business laws applicable to operations.
• Ability to develop and control short- and long-range plans using independent judgment.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, team-building, communication, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret profit-and-loss spreadsheets.
