Director of Procurement

Location: New York, NY, United States. This office-tied role requires working from the office four days a week.

Salary: $146,775–$326,300 USD annually, including base salary and, where applicable, target incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and scale the procurement organization as a strategic partner to executive leadership.
• Own purchasing strategy, spend transparency, cost reduction, and cross-functional alignment across the enterprise.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers in partnership with Legal, GRC, FP&A, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and execute category strategies for enterprise functions, GTM, Marketing, Professional Services, and technology spend.
• Rebuild and optimize procurement and contract management workflows in Zip to remove bottlenecks and support operational scale.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals while balancing strategic and hands-on execution.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of progressive strategic sourcing and procurement experience.
• Experience managing enterprise technology spend, Professional Services, and Marketing procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in procurement fundamentals, P2P architecture, and contract negotiations.
• Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, or rebuilding Zip or similar P2P procurement platforms.
• Proven player-coach leadership, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
