Senior Software Developer (Python)

What you will do

• Design, build, test, document, refactor, and operate core backend services for Evo's microservices platform.
• Develop platform capabilities for data organization, permission management, auditability, and integrations with external platforms.
• Evaluate architecture and design trade-offs against functional, security, performance, and scalability requirements.
• Establish development standards, automated testing, secure engineering practices, and observability across the team.
• Plan and coordinate releases, manage small projects and sub-projects, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Lead design and code reviews while providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Seven or more years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs, preferably with Python and FastAPI.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Experience with microservices, service design, observability, inter-service communication, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Ability to work autonomously, influence stakeholders, collaborate across functions, communicate technical concepts clearly, and practice secure and privacy-conscious engineering.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React and TypeScript.
• Interest in AI-assisted or agent-driven development workflows.
• Experience with Pytest and Playwright.
