Senior Software Developer (AI)

Location: Remote from anywhere in Canada; in-person onboarding and/or identity verification may be required.

Salary: $107,000–$157,300 starting base salary, with offers based on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable, secure, performant web and desktop applications and high-throughput cloud services.
• Translate high-level requirements into incremental product enhancements with product managers, product owners, architects, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to software design, architecture, design patterns, and the full development lifecycle.
• Research and prototype innovative technologies and document and present technical solutions.
• Use LLMs and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor to improve code quality and productivity.
• Participate in Scrum activities, process improvements, and on-call support for production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with applications and cloud services.
• Experience with TypeScript, C#, and/or Python; secure APIs, microservices, desktop applications, and relational databases such as Postgres.
• Understanding of web or desktop application architecture, including data, application, and web tiers in production.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, unit testing, and automated testing tools such as Cypress or Playwright.
• Strong communication, autonomy, ownership, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and RDS.
• Experience with CAD applications such as hirify.global Inventor, hirify.global Revit, or other CAD and AEC design software.
• Experience applying AI or automation to testing, operational efficiency, and developer productivity.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
