Flight Controls Hydro-Mechanical Equipment Professional (Aerospace)

Location: Mirabel, Quebec, Canada, in the greater Montreal area; hybrid work based on operational needs

What you will do

• Lead the development and integration of hydro-mechanical equipment for the A220 flight-control and hydraulic systems.
• Evaluate and approve supplier designs across solution development, manufacturing, integration, and verification.
• Conduct technical investigations, analyze issues, define solutions, and manage A220 system design changes.
• Prepare, execute, and analyze investigative, development, and certification tests using the Iron Bird integrated systems platform.
• Draft and review technical requirements documentation, including requirements validation and verification.
• Provide technical support to production and customer service, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continued-airworthiness activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with the specification, design, integration, testing, and certification of hydro-mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of RTCA DO-160 and strong written and oral communication skills.
• French and English are required for collaboration with international hirify.global entities, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to support production issues outside normal working hours when required and travel for business in Europe and the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with CATIA and ENOVIA.
• Experience with servo-loop performance and Matlab-based simulation.
• Understanding of TCCA, FAA, and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.
• Experience maintaining aircraft airworthiness and safety or supporting production and in-service aircraft.
