Location: Montreal (St. Laurent), Canada; onsite production-floor role

What you will do

  • Supervise, coach, and develop production employees in a manufacturing environment.
  • Manage daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.
  • Coordinate workforce allocation, materials, resources, and production schedules.
  • Monitor operational performance and resolve issues that could affect project milestones and delivery timelines.
  • Lead continuous improvement, change management, and process-efficiency initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain production procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturing objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with production scheduling, workforce planning, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and manufacturing health and safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English are required.

  • Experience leading organizational or operational change and engaging employees during change.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and results-oriented skills.
  • Experience in aerospace, defence, or other complex manufacturing industries.
