Product Owner Expert (Kubernetes CaaS Platform)

Base salary: $133,000–$296,400 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and product definition for Kubernetes and container hosting platforms.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate customer and market needs into technical requirements for container runtime, security, orchestration, and self-service capabilities.
• Define standards and best practices for Kubernetes, CI/CD, microservices deployment, observability, high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• Drive platform adoption, developer usability, backlog priorities, go-to-market activities, and value delivery across stakeholder groups.
• Monitor product and workload metrics, improving reliability, performance, resource management, and cloud and on-premises infrastructure costs.
• Lead cross-functional teams, manage vendors and consultants, mitigate risks, and communicate outcomes to senior and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 8+ years of industry experience, including 7–10 years in product management, product ownership, architecture, or software engineering; 10+ years in cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering is preferred.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, DevOps tooling, cluster architecture, workload orchestration, networking, RBAC, and container security.
• Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitOps, Agile product development, and developer platform products.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, bare-metal Kubernetes, and hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Work is in-office at one of the listed United States locations. hirify.global does not provide employment visa sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner or SAFe POPM certification.
• Cloud certifications for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Jira, Rally, or ADO and enterprise system integrations.
