Category Associate — NPI & Sustaining Sourcing (Manufacturing)

Location: Greenville, Wisconsin, United States

Pay range: $57,600–$90,400 per year

Builds highly customized fire and emergency vehicles, including pumpers, aerials, tankers, and rescue units, through Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company.

What you will do

• Review Engineering Change Notices to identify sourcing requirements, supply chain impacts, and ERP updates.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, collect and compare supplier quotations, and support supplier selection.
• Coordinate Engineering and supplier discussions about technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and manufacturability.
• Support sourcing for capital tooling and non-recurring engineering, including quotations, reviews, purchase orders, and commercial activities.
• Track supplier lead times, sourcing milestones, open actions, risks, and delays affecting prototypes, product development, and production.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Program Management, Category Management, Purchasing, and suppliers to support product introductions and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel 10–20%.
• Strong communication, organization, follow-through, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
• Proficiency with web-based software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Internship or previous supply chain experience.
• Category sourcing experience in the manufacturing industry.
