Procurement Specialist (Strategic Sourcing)

Location: Onsite in Richmond, Virginia, United States. Applicants must already have US work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global.

Salary: $83,300–$133,280 annually

What you will do

• Execute purchasing and logistics strategies that optimize supplier cost, quality, reliability, delivery, and sustainability.
• Design and implement local sourcing plans for products and materials.
• Develop supplier bases and category strategies aligned with current and future business requirements.
• Apply procurement standards, tools, processes, and quality requirements within the assigned area.
• Analyze commodity cost drivers and supply conditions for steel, copper, aluminum, and zinc.
• Support training and communicate procurement topics with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Business Administration in Supply Chain Management, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Alternatively, a master’s degree with at least 3 years of related manufacturing or supply chain experience.
• Experience with procurement, sourcing, supplier-base development, materials management, contract negotiation, and stakeholder presentations.
• Knowledge of procurement tools, quality processes, commercial and legal terms, and standard procurement procedures.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and supplier-relations skills.
• Existing US work authorization is required.

Nice to have

• Strong SAP experience.
• Experience in cost engineering, sourcing, quality, proposals, or the electrical and automation industry.
• ISM/CPSM certification.
• Master’s degree.
