CNC Machinist (Manufacturing)

Location: Binghamton, New York, United States of America; onsite manufacturing machine shop

Starting pay: $24.40–$28.75 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment to produce complex precision components.
• Interpret blueprints, setup documentation, technical drawings, and CNC program information.
• Select, install, and adjust tooling and machine offsets.
• Monitor machining operations and adjust processes to maintain efficiency and precision.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, verniers, depth gauges, and scales; perform drilling and deburring.
• Collaborate with machinists and supervisors to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• At least two years of machining experience or equivalent technical training and hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, setup sheets, and CNC program documentation.
• Knowledge of machining practices, manufacturing principles, shop mathematics, cutting tools, and CNC terminology.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, handle materials and tooling, and work around machining equipment while using required PPE.
