Machinist I (2nd Shift) (Manufacturing)

Location: West Fargo, North Dakota, United States; onsite at the West Fargo facility. Second-shift hours are 4:15 PM–2:45 AM, Monday–Thursday, with occasional Friday overtime.

Hourly pay: $24.33–$30.97, plus a 7% second-shift premium.

What you will do

• Operate and set up a variety of machine tools to produce standardized parts with close-tolerance and finish requirements.
• Use precision measuring devices, blueprints, gauges, and torque-measuring equipment to verify product quality.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections and ensure machined parts meet customer and quality specifications.
• Plan new setups, assist with work instructions, and support the development of new products and processes.
• Perform workstation crane inspections, machine cleaning, floor sweeping, and other 5S and preventive-maintenance activities.
• Identify production issues, initiate corrective actions, support cross-training, and collaborate with plant management and production personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• At least four years of job-related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate most machine tools in the value stream at an advanced level.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work effectively in a team.
• Ability to follow facility safety policies, hazardous-risk assessments, and personal protective equipment requirements.
