Intern Engineering Designer, Bridge

Location: Onsite in the United States, with opportunities in the Tampa, Miami, or Orlando, Florida offices.

What you will do

• Become familiar with bridge engineering plans, details, applicable codes, and standards.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist with project monitoring, scheduling, and progress reporting.
• Assist with computer modeling and the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Support project deliverables under the close supervision of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, clients, and support staff.
• Attend bridge project site visits and inspections.

Requirements

• Current third- or fourth-year undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication, teamwork, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to integrity, continuous learning, innovation, and responsible professional conduct.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and engineering software such as SAP 2000 or CSI Bridge is preferred.
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience is preferred.
