Civil Engineer (PE)

Location: Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, or Juneau, Alaska, USA; office-based role with business-related travel required

What you will do

• Design and manage multidisciplinary civil engineering and transportation projects for public and private-sector clients.
• Prepare design drawings, engineering calculations, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Develop utility, site, roadway, and other infrastructure improvement designs.
• Manage project teams, contracts, schedules, and multiple concurrent assignments.
• Coordinate engineering and construction activities while meeting project deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Alaska Professional Engineering license, or the ability to obtain one within one year.
• 5–15 years of civil engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, organizational, teamwork, and project management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; business-related vehicle travel is required.

Nice to have

• 5 or more years of cold-regions engineering experience.
• Experience with Civil 3D corridors, grading, pipe models, quantities, calculations, and cost estimating.
• Experience preparing utility, site, and roadway improvement designs.
• Experience managing design projects.
