Facilities Technician, Maintenance (HVAC/PLC)

What you will do

• Perform corrective, preventive, planned, and predictive maintenance on warehouse equipment, conveyance systems, powered industrial trucks, HVAC, compressors, water filtration, and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, HVAC, and PLC-related issues.
• Complete building maintenance, including painting, sheetrock repairs, tenant improvements, door and dock plate repairs, and fabrication of custom equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, coordinate repairs with production personnel, and minimize operational downtime.
• Perform calibration and testing, maintain work orders and technical records in CMMS software, and analyze maintenance data for process improvements.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and safety standards, including 5S and lockout/tagout procedures, while contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field; 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or with comparable equipment is also specified.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Knowledge and experience with PLC systems and CMMS systems.
• Formal training or certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, PLC systems, or HVAC; advanced training in engineering, maintenance, lean, or Six Sigma is relevant.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery independently, document preventive and predictive maintenance data, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is required. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
