Propulsion Technician I, Second Shift

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. Second shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Pacific Time, with a 50-hour workweek including 10 guaranteed overtime hours.

Salary: $25.58-$38.37 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Assemble and test Aeon-R engine components, sub-assemblies, and engines.
• Perform precision cleaning, hydrostatic proof testing, pneumatic leak checks, and flow testing.
• Support component assembly and testing and refine robust engine-building processes.
• Integrate electrical and mechanical systems during propulsion hardware production.
• Collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing methods and systems.

Requirements

• Experience working on engines, primarily engine components.
• Familiarity with the architecture and nomenclature of gas-generator-cycle engines.
• Experience with high-pressure fluid-system development and testing, including hydrostatic proof, pneumatic leak checks, and flow testing.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with 5S manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience transitioning products from development into high-volume production.
