Infrastructure Administrator

Location: Primarily remote within the USA, with candidates required to be within commuting distance of Phoenix, Arizona. Occasional in-person attendance may be required.

What you will do

• Deploy, automate, monitor, and support physical and virtual servers and applications across cloud-hosted and on-premises environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and recommend improvements to maintain high availability.
• Configure and troubleshoot application servers with storage and virtualization engineers.
• Deploy, maintain, upgrade, and test applications developed by internal teams.
• Manage server builds, patching, security updates, antivirus, backups, restores, asset management, and 24/7 support.
• Document technical issues and resolutions while serving as an escalation point and operational liaison for vendors and development groups.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience managing and supporting IT infrastructure in a mid-to-large-scale enterprise data center environment.
• Knowledge of server and storage hardware and protocols, including NFS and iSCSI.
• Demonstrated scripting and automation skills with Perl, Bash, PHP, Puppet, Chef, Salt, or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of security concepts, including Active Directory, NTFS permissions, security auditing, user contexts, and application-layer vulnerabilities.
• Understanding of cloud storage, networking, and hardware technologies.
