IT Systems Administrator

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States; travel to different manufacturing sites up to 25%.

What you will do

• Evaluate, stabilize, and standardize infrastructure across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Lead technical execution involving Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, networks, virtualization, storage, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Manage patch automation, security remediation, compliance audits, and infrastructure upgrade planning.
• Support LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, wireless access points, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Provide escalated end-user support and promote consistent IT practices across sites.
• Create system diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks while training and mentoring junior IT staff.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in user support, systems administration, network management, and virtualization.
• Experience with Windows Server 2012–2025, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, VMware vSphere, and/or Hyper-V.
• Strong switching, routing, and firewall knowledge; SonicWall experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with N-able/N-central or similar patch and automation platforms.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or comparable IT service management systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.

Nice to have

• MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, Network+, or Security+ certification.
• M365 or Azure experience and certifications.
• Experience modernizing outdated infrastructure and diagnosing root causes in complex networks.
