System Administrator (Linux/AWS)

What you will do

• Manage application software, workstations, servers, and systems supporting operations.
• Maintain uptime, monitor workflows, troubleshoot infrastructure and user issues, and minimize work interruptions.
• Plan and coordinate capacity expansion, upgrades, deployments, configuration changes, and maintenance outages.
• Participate in technical architecture and design discussions as a system and network expert.
• Install and cable hardware, configure operating systems, and deploy servers and workstations.
• Provide basic application and desktop support and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of Linux system administration experience.
• Advanced network configuration and management experience.
• Intermediate Windows desktop administration, domain control, Active Directory, and macOS support experience.
• Intermediate to advanced AWS experience, including EC2; Route 53, S3, and Glacier knowledge is beneficial.
• Experience supporting a 24/7, multi-shift operation.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or another technical field is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Brocade networking knowledge.
• LDAP, Lustre, or Gluster storage experience.
• Postgres database maintenance experience.
