Systems Administrator (Linux & Windows)

What you will do

• Administer MECM/SCCM infrastructure, distribution points, client health, device collections, queries, and compliance reporting.
• Build and maintain Windows operating system deployment task sequences, golden images, application packages, scripts, and software updates.
• Administer RHEL servers, Windows Servers 2019/2022, and Windows 10/11 endpoints, including Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and access controls.
• Maintain Nutanix and VMware virtualization, storage, backup, restore, and basic Oracle and Microsoft SQL hosting environments.
• Execute vulnerability scans and STIG evaluations, remediate CVEs and security directives, and maintain POA&Ms.
• Manage PKI certificates, CAC authentication, endpoint security agents, application whitelisting, and centralized security logging.

Requirements

• Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification is required, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP.
• Secret clearance must be held before starting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related STEM field; equivalent professional experience may substitute.
• At least 3–5 years of hands-on systems administration across mixed RHEL and Windows environments.
• At least 2 years of dedicated MECM/SCCM administration experience.
• Relevant Microsoft Windows Server/MECM or RHEL training or certification, or the ability to complete it within six months.

Nice to have

• DoD enterprise, testing facility, operational laboratory, or defense staging enclave experience.
• PowerShell and Bash scripting for administration, reporting, and deployment automation.
• Experience with ACAS/Tenable Nessus, SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, Cohesity, fapolicyd, Elastic Fleet, or LogRhythm.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, F5 BIG-IP, and AWS GovCloud.
