What you will do
- Lead end-to-end deployment, configuration, testing, and operation of autonomous wheeled robotic systems in customer environments.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across software, hardware, and networking layers to maintain uptime and mission success.
- Gather and analyze field feedback, implement monitoring and diagnostic tools, and drive reliability improvements into core systems.
- Train and support customer operators, translate technical concepts into operational workflows, and accelerate system adoption.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, AI research, product, and engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Help create scalable deployment practices and playbooks for future rollouts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in software engineering or systems integration in the field robotics industry.
- Experience deploying complex technical systems in the field.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Git, and ROS; familiarity with embedded systems, Linux-based systems, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across software, hardware, and networking layers.
- Must meet U.S. Person eligibility requirements for projects connected to the U.S. government.
Nice to have
- Experience deploying, operating, or maintaining mission-critical systems in real-world environments.
- Experience with Jira, Wrike, Confluence, or similar program management tools.
- Experience working directly with customers in high-stakes, fast-paced settings.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers as needed.
