Robot Application Developer (Robotics)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, develop, and integrate applications for autonomous robotic systems using C++ and Python.
• Design and integrate sensor pipelines for LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, and other sensors.
• Implement perception, localization, SLAM, motion planning, and robotic control algorithms.
• Develop ROS/ROS 2 applications and integrate software with robotic hardware.
• Build and test solutions in Gazebo and Isaac Sim simulation environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support field testing, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of robotics software development experience; the posting also states 6+ years of experience.
• Strong C++ and Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS 2.
• Experience with perception, localization, motion planning, or robotic control systems.
• Familiarity with sensor fusion, simulation environments, debugging, communication, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Robotics or a related field.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles, drones, or industrial robotics.
• Knowledge of safety-critical software and ML-based perception.
• Open-source contributions to robotics projects.
