Maintenance Shop Technician A (Diesel Trucks)

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and refuse equipment under the direction of a lead technician, fleet maintenance supervisor, or maintenance manager.
• Diagnose and repair chassis, suspension, steering, drivetrain, engine, transmission, braking, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Service refuse bodies, control systems, air and hydraulic brakes, diesel fuel systems, emissions aftertreatment, and REGEN systems.
• Use scan tools and electronic diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and electrical concerns.
• Perform line maintenance, welding, fabrication, inspections, and repairs both onsite and on the road.
• Complete applicable company training and other related maintenance duties.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience working as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate strong technical expertise.
• Ability to independently inspect and repair several heavy-truck or automotive systems, including suspension and steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Preferred CDL Class B or higher.

Nice to have

• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8.
• LNG or CNG experience.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License.
