Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE & Digital Engineering) - DoW

Location: Onsite at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama; or Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Remote and telework are not available. No relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain MBSE models, system architectures, and SysML behavioral and structural diagrams using Cameo Systems Modeler or MagicDraw.
• Decompose mission and stakeholder requirements into functional, performance, interface, and cybersecurity specifications while maintaining end-to-end traceability.
• Integrate RMF controls, DISA STIGs, NIST SP 800-53 requirements, and DoD Zero Trust principles into system architecture models.
• Define system and component interfaces, maintain technical baselines, and produce interface control documents, design specifications, and architecture decision records.
• Develop verification matrices, validation plans, and technical evaluation criteria for Systems Engineering Technical Reviews and infrastructure testing.
• Lead technical working sessions and review boards, collaborate with government and consortium stakeholders, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Must work onsite at one of the listed U.S. government facilities; remote work is not available.
• At least 10 years of general full-time experience, including at least 5 years of directly related experience and at least 6 months in a management or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience with requirements development, decomposition, allocation, and traceability following INCOSE and OMG standards.
• Strong experience integrating DoD cybersecurity requirements, including NIST SP 800-53, RMF, DISA STIGs, and Zero Trust, into system architectures.
• Technical experience with Windows or Linux, VMware virtualization, host-based security systems, and IP networking.
• Active DoW Secret clearance and eligibility for a DoW Top Secret clearance; current DoW 8140/8570 IAT Level II or higher certification required.

Nice to have

• Active DoW Top Secret clearance and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or Information Assurance.
• OCSMP, INCOSE ASEP or CSEP, CySA+, PenTest+, or CISSP credentials.
• Experience with IBM DOORS or DOORS Next Generation, MDA or IRES programs, defense weapons systems, Agile or SAFe delivery, Jira, and Confluence.
