Distinguished System Requirements Engineer (MBSE)

Salary: $100,000–$275,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Define, analyze, verify, and manage system and subsystem requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Apply systems engineering methods within model-based systems engineering and digital engineering frameworks.
• Develop mission needs, use cases, CONOPS, functional models, requirement trees, flow-downs, and requirements documentation.
• Perform requirements trades, performance analysis, simulations, formal and informal assessments, and verification activities.
• Coordinate assessment schedules, develop test strategies and designs, evaluate results, and recommend improvements.
• Lead large multidisciplinary teams, advise customers, manage risks, mentor engineers, and advance systems engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of systems engineering experience with an emphasis on requirements engineering.
• Practical experience with systems engineering processes and familiarity with MBSE and/or digital engineering tools and methods.
• Strong organizational, oral communication, written communication, analytical, and system-level problem-solving skills.
• Experience may require modeling and simulation, coding languages, SysML, STPA, DOORS, or other engineering analysis tools.
• Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of GN&C, avionics architectures, fault tolerance, cybersecurity, communications, or encryption.
