Hardware Electrical Engineer

Location: Woodinville, Washington, at the Woodinville, WA headquarters

Base salary: $139,800–$171,750 USD annually

What you will do

• Define electrical architectures for power supplies, motor drives, sensors, and user interfaces in connected fitness products.
• Evaluate emerging electronics technologies and develop systems that meet rigorous engineering specifications.
• Conduct hands-on lab validation and resolve performance, EMC, emissions, safety, and regulatory compliance issues involving UL, CE, and FCC requirements.
• Partner with Product, Mechanical, Firmware, and Industrial Design teams on complex electromechanical products.
• Work with overseas vendors to improve design for manufacturability and support production ramp-up.
• Lead electrical engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 6+ years of hands-on electrical engineering product development experience in fitness equipment, appliances, automotive, or related high-volume consumer hardware.
• At least 1 year as the lead electrical engineer taking a product from concept through market launch.
• Strong experience with AC mains-powered designs, electric motors, and motor drives, including cost, thermal, and acoustic optimization.
• Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and related laboratory equipment.
• Excellent cross-functional communication, adaptability across electronics disciplines, and willingness to travel globally approximately four times per year.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital circuit design, sensor integration, high-resolution touchscreens, or user interface hardware.
