Lathe Operator (CNC)

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mill-turn machines to produce parts to customer specifications.
• Install and maintain cutting tools, change tools, use ER-style collets and spindle liner assemblies, and handle bar stock.
• Inspect parts, perform calibrations, identify out-of-specification conditions, and address machine alarms.
• Troubleshoot dimensional and surface-finish issues and escalate malfunctions when needed.
• Use hand and stationary power tools while following department quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other lathe operators, share knowledge, and improve work processes.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of CNC machining experience.
• Basic competence in lathe operation, toolpaths, and associated cutting tools.
• Strong finishing skills, including deburring and sanding.
• Ability to use calipers and rulers for measurement and basic part inspection.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop or kneel, and lift or move more than 50 pounds.
• Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.
