Senior Employment Counsel (AI)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; on-site. Candidates must be genuinely based in Austin, with relocation support available for the right person. Three anchor office days are required: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

What you will do

• Provide global employment law counsel on hiring, performance management, terminations, leaves and accommodations, wage and hour matters, and investigations.
• Advise on employment matters across the United States, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, France, Singapore, Japan, the UAE, and EOR locations with support from outside counsel.
• Drive policy rollouts, training, compliance initiatives, and cross-functional change management projects.
• Develop practical solutions for sensitive employee relations issues and organizational change.
• Support global expansion, employee privacy, equity, immigration, compliance, and M&A integration initiatives.
• Advise on global compensation, pay equity, and benefits compliance.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and active bar admission in good standing; Texas bar admission or eligibility for registered in-house status.
• 5+ years of employment law experience, preferably in-house at a multinational organization or fast-growing technology company.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. employment law, including California employment law.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships, manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate there; the role is on-site.

• Experience with employment law in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, France, the UAE, Japan, or Singapore.
