What you will do

  • Maintain the subprocessor register, coordinate reviews and onboarding, and issue client notifications for subprocessor changes.
  • Administer data-retention schedules, deletion and archiving activities, access records, data subject rights requests, and privacy documentation.
  • Support privacy monitoring, control testing, audits, risk assessments, and records of processing activities.
  • Manage client privacy communications, compliance records, EMEA reporting requirements, regulatory correspondence, and compliance calendars.
  • Apply UK disclosure-regime requirements across DBS, Disclosure Scotland, and AccessNI, including check eligibility, identity verification, and disclosure-result handling.
  • Audit screening files, respond to client and regulator inquiries, improve compliance workflows, and manage related Jira tickets.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Practical knowledge of GDPR and data subject rights processes, including engagement with regulatory or quasi-governmental authorities.
  • Working knowledge of UK criminal-record screening regimes, registered and umbrella bodies, role eligibility, and the handling of criminal-record data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across compliance, operations, client-facing functions, and different jurisdictions.
  • Comfort using AI tools such as Claude for drafting communications, summarizing regulatory guidance, and improving workflows.

Nice to have

  • Professional privacy certification from the IAPP, such as CIPT or CIPP/E.
