Lead Privacy Consultant - PIAs

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in one of the U.S. hub offices: Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Denver, CO. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Contribute subject matter expertise and guidance to the enterprise privacy by design playbook.
• Facilitate and review privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments across domestic and international activities.
• Manage privacy by design workstreams, including tasks, dependencies, deliverables, and issue escalation.
• Translate global privacy laws, technical standards, and enterprise risk appetite into practical operational and business outcomes.
• Identify and communicate privacy risks and remediation recommendations related to PIAs, technology reviews, AI use cases, and vendor engagements.
• Prepare risk summaries, assessment reports, governance updates, implementation recommendations, and support broader privacy operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
• At least eight years of experience in privacy, data security, or a related field.
• Practical understanding of global privacy laws and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, GLBA, and emerging international requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy concepts to technical, legal, and business audiences.
• Ability to manage work independently, maintain momentum, and complete tasks in ambiguous or evolving environments.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in business, law, technology, or risk.
• Direct experience with privacy by design principles and privacy impact assessments.
• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, AI governance, compliance, risk, audit, or project management certification.
• Technical fluency in technology, data architecture, AI systems, and cybersecurity concepts.
• Experience in financial services or complex enterprise privacy programs.
