Focus on diagnosing breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, setting up precision equipment, and supporting safe, compliant production operations.

What you will do

  • Install, set up, change over, maintain, test, and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failures and restore production operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment used to manufacture absorbable, non-absorbable, molded, and needle products.
  • Read wiring diagrams, machine blueprints, pipe layouts, manuals, and work orders to complete maintenance activities.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, microscopes, and other test equipment for troubleshooting and precision setup.
  • Maintain repair records, create and complete work orders in CMMS, prepare trouble reports, and support manufacturing engineers and production teams.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
  • High school education, GED, or equivalent skills, experience, or training.
  • Technical troubleshooting and equipment repair skills, with the ability to work independently under limited direction.
  • Ability to operate basic PLC controls and work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to respond to scheduled on-call emergency or essential work situations.
  • Computer, communication, interpersonal, basic math, documentation, and safety skills.

Nice to have

  • At least two years of electrical, electronic, or mechanical technical school, formal training, military training, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Just in Time, Kanban, and pull systems.
  • Experience with GMP, OSHA compliance, predictive maintenance, and plant operations.
