Electrician 1st Class (MedTech)

Location: San Angelo, Texas, United States; onsite. The role may require second- or third-shift work and requires a day-shift schedule for 6–9 months before transitioning to night shift.

What you will do

• Perform electrical and electronic repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment installation, and modifications on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair motors, motor controls, electronic control circuits, photoelectric circuits, level controls, fuses, lighting, and related plant equipment.
• Install wiring and electrical components using blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
• Use voltage, current, resistance, power, and other electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot systems.
• Install and perform minor repairs on programmable controllers and support equipment improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records, follow safety and quality procedures, and guide helpers when assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational, technical, certificate, apprenticeship, or associate-level training preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience required.
• Knowledge of current electrical codes and Arc Flash training.
• Ability to read blueprints, handle ESD components, solder, use electrical test equipment, and work with minimum technical supervision.
• Current and valid driver's license required.
• Must pass the WorkKeys Assessment and be amenable to day-shift training followed by night-shift work.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, regulated manufacturing, GMP, ISO, or QSR environments is preferred.

Nice to have

• Formal vocational, technical, or apprenticeship training with applicable experience.
• Experience in GMP, ISO, QSR, predictive maintenance, Lean, Six Sigma, or Maintenance Excellence programs.
