What you will do

  • Install, set up, maintain, test, adjust, and repair manufacturing equipment used to produce absorbable, non-absorbable, molded, and needle manufacturing materials.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, diagnose malfunctions, and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including basic PLC controls, precision equipment, gauges, meters, and test apparatus.
  • Read wiring diagrams, machine blueprints, pipe layout diagrams, equipment manuals, and work orders.
  • Maintain repair logs, trouble reports, work orders, and other manual or electronic documentation in CMMS and applicable software systems.
  • Support manufacturing engineers and production teams with process improvements, equipment changeovers, Lean, Six Sigma, Maintenance Excellence, 6S, and Operator Asset Care initiatives.

Requirements

  • Generally 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
  • High school education, GED, or equivalent skills, experience, or training.
  • Technical troubleshooting, computer, communication, interpersonal, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction, make critical breakdown decisions under pressure, and manage maintenance and project deadlines.
  • Ability to work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and operate portable power tools, hand tools, and basic PLC controls.
  • Availability for the assigned C-shift, on-call requirements, and onsite work in Cornelia, Georgia.

Nice to have

  • At least two years of electrical, electronic, or mechanical technical school, equivalent formal or military training, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Just in Time, KANBAN, Pull Systems, GMP, OSHA compliance, predictive maintenance, and plant operations.
  • Georgia Work Ready certification or equivalent training.
