Registered Nurse - PRN

Location: Onsite at a health center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. PRN coverage is required as needed for paid time off, including Saturday availability 1–2 times per month. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners on further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment, infection control procedures, patient records, and a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
• Experience in occupational health, emergency room, or urgent care settings.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support and certification in occupational health nursing, emergency nursing, or case management may be required depending on the site and service scope.
